Unfortunately, in most cases the reason for low sperm count, low motility and morphology of the spermatozoids is unknown, probably genetic. In such cases there is nothing that can be done to improve someone’s sperm quality.
Presence of bacteria is probably due to an infection. I am not sure that the bacterial infection is the major cause of your husband’s sterility but at least that issue can be treated. Your husband can try a proper antibiotic to cure the infection.
You can also request measurement of the hormonal blood levels (testosterone, FSH and LH) to check if the reason is endocrine. Endocrine causes for male sterility can be treated.
Presence of varicocele (enlarged testicular veins) can also disturb the spermatozoid production. Varicocele can be treated surgically.
I doubt that the alternative medical treatments, you mentioned, will help your husband to improve his fertilization ability. You can try them if you want but, in my opinion, that would only be a waste of time.
If the reason for your husband’s sterility remains unknown (probably genetic) you can try insemination first and, if that fails, the final option is ICSI (intra cell sperm injection).
You may want to consult a urologist and gynecologist about this.
