Hello,I'm getting really worried. In June my WBC was 5.7 and my platelets was 136. Now in September my WBC is 3.5 and my platelets is 113 and every now and thn i get this abdominal pain that goes away after about 2-30 minutes it varies. I have no idea what's going on and my doctor keeps just telling me to do some more labs and not saying anything is wrong. please what does this mean.

Is your red blood cells count affected, too?
Where is the abdominal pain located exactly?
Do you have some additional symptoms?

Low WBC and low platelets count, with normal RBC count in adults may be result of a previous parvovirus b19 infection (this one can go without symptoms in adults and the decreased blood counts may last for months).

No my RBC's are not affected but i had the flu like 3 weeks ago and i had to use Tamiflu. Could it be the flu still in my system or just parvo virus. The abdominal pain started was always on my left side but now when it happens it could be anywhere in my abdomen.I have no other additional symptoms i feel healthy, just shoulder pain and knee pain from basketball.

Abdominal pain, etc...
Ytayo...have you found out what has been causing the abdominal pain, low platlet and WBC? I have a very dear friend who is going through the exact same thing. Doctors just keep saying they cant find anything wrong and keep doing blood tests. Any info would help. Thank you.

abdominal pain and low wbc
If you do find out, I would also like to know. My son had the flu as well, no tamiflu though, and his blood test after 3 weeks show 3.1 WBC, and he has been complaining of abdominal pain just as you. I have taken him to the doctor's 4 times in the past 3 weeks and all we get is, hmmm.
