Hi all

Im just wondering if anyone can give me any advice as I wait for my immunology appointment.

Im a 28 year old male, and around 4 years ago I was discovered to have low white blood cell and platelet counts. In the interveing years, my white blood counts have righted themselves, however my platelet counts have been very erratic.

Recently I have been told that my immunolglobulin counts are low (IgA, IgG and IgM if I remember correctly) and all 3 have been steadily decreasing over the last 5 years. I have had two ultrasounds which have shown a slightly enlarged spleen (I think it was around 13cm at the last check). The two ultrasounds were done a few years apart. I have been referred to an immunologist and until I can see them, I have been placed on a regular anti-biotic, and I have been given a pnuemonia vaccine as I was showing impaired response.

I have a couple of questions
Everyone seems surprised that I have this at my age, why is that?
What are the causes of the counts dropping?
Am I still ok working/going to watch football etc
Can this cause sleep issues?
Can this be reveresed?

Many thanks
