low ferritin
No worries-Just eat more iron rich foods, like red meat, eggs, leafy green veggies. Your value is within the normal limits. Men rarely get iron-deficiency anemia and if they do, a diet change is usually all that is needed.

low ferritin
Hi-sometimes low ferritin levels can make your hair thin out but I am not sure if it affects the rate of growth. My ferritin level is 2 and I still have a full head of hair. Just add some iron rich foods to your diet and you should be fine. You are young enough to recover your values quickly.
