ok so at the reccomendation of my doctor I got out my meter and bagan testing my blood sugar..First thing in the morning when I get up I feel horrible after sitting a while its not getting better.Im having symptoms that ususally lead me to believe my blood sugar is low so I grab the meter and check...I was actually surprised it read 108..totally not low and well withing normal range for fasting blood sugar..so I sat some more..Still not feeling any better.I proceeded to get up and have breakfast like I usually do protien rich yogurt and a piece of string cheese.Within minutes Im feeling much better. If my blood sugar isnt low then whats the deal?possibly something wrong with the meter or an old battery or something?Any advice would be helpful.

It's a myth that blood sugar are low in the morning. I checked mine lot of times and I have always high level of blood sugar in the morning.

I talked with other and they confirm this.
I found a study that claims we are more insulin resistant in the morning, so skipping breakfast or having a small breakfast and indulging a night is better than having an hearty breakfast. Expecially if you're hypoglycemic.

I found relief from morning symptoms when I started to have a carbohydrates free breakfast, a low-carb lunch and an higher carb dinner. At dinner I never experience a sugar crash even when my diet is not perfect.

But the reason why you're feeling low blood sugar symptoms even when your blood sugar is not low, is that symptoms of low blood sugar are not only triggered by low blood sugar per se, but also by a fast sudden decrease in blood sugar.

Reactive hypoglycemia is diagnosed even when your blood sugar never get too low, but they decrease too much too quickly (i.e going quickly from 140 to 70 even if 70 is not low blood sugar)

People with hypoglycemia like us, tend to have poor glycogen control. At night our liver releases too much glycogen and we have sugar highs and consequent sugar crashes, even if eventually the blood sugar at waking time is normal.
