Q: Lots of painful lymph nodes

For the past several days, a lymph node in my neck, both groinal lymph nodes, both pelvic lymph nodes, and the nodes in my elbows have become painful to the touch. They do not seem to be visibly swollen, but they do hurt. I am not sick, am not taking any medication, have not been injured, and have not undergone any medical procedures recently. Is this something I should be worried about? I am just not sure why this would happen to so many of them at once.

Multiple swollen lymph nodules (generalized lymphadenopathy) are usually due to some systemic infection usually viral. Rarer causes would be rheumatic autoimmune diseases, lymphoproliferative disorders, cancers etc.

You can visit your family doctor for physical examination and some standard blood tests. Specific blood tests can be made latter.

At this (final) stage of pregnancy one of the most dangerous compliucations is pre-eclampsia and eclampsia. Pre-eclampsia is manifested with swelling, hypertension and proteins in the urine. Pre-eclampsia can turn into eclampsia which is a life-threatening condition.

Urinary infection and tooth abscess are minor complications compared to eclampsia.

Can stop thinking about sepsa any more?

Chronic tender lymph nodes, not enlarged
I have tender lymph nodes that radiate pain behind my ears, around my neck, in my armpit, chest, abdomen, groin, arms and legs for more than 20 years. They have very slowly grown worse. The condition causes enough pain to disable me because my muscles seize up as a result, the symptoms do not wax and wane, and the nodes are not noticeably enlarged. I figure I do not have cancer or a proliferative disease or I would have gotten much worse sooner. My symptoms don't seem to match SLE, sarcoidosis or rheumatoid arthritis. I don't have HIV, syphilis or Hepatitis B or C. Is it possible for a virus or chronic fatigue syndrome to last for 20 years? If so, which viruses? Can Sjogrens Syndrome cause this, because I do have it... Thank you for your help...
