Could a tampon be pushed into your body beyond reach of retrieving?

i don't think so bette. your vagina is only so deep. might a tampon be momentarily out of reach? i guess, but i would think that if you move around at all, it would be right there again.

I've actually had to go to a clinic to have a nurse remove a tampon that was "lost" in my vagina before...but it was retrievable!!! Nurses can use forceps and that clamp that they user during your PAP smear to open the cervix.
Where else would a foreign object go?

i have a weird story about a lost and forgotten tampon...it probably happens to everybody but it really freaked me out. i actually forgot that I already had a tampon in or felt down there and didn't feel a string and thought there wasn't one in so I put another one in. i was very uncomfortable but didn't really realize that i had 2 in there. At some point in time (the same period) I realized that it was in there, I think because when I went to stick a new tampon in, the applicator was hitting something and I really had to "dig" to pull it out. ugh. I was worried that I would get sick from it but I never did. from now on, I make sure that I have no tampons in before I put another in LOL. also, I don't think it's possible for a tampon to get lost in you. It can just get pushed way up in there along with the string, which makes it harder to get out.

Yes, you can get an infection.
Just remember when you put a tampon in, it needs to come out. Changing your tampons regularly throughout the day can help you remember.
If for some reason you can't reach the tampon yourself, then you go to the clinic.
No need to exchange death-by-tampon stories since any negative effects from having a tampon in too long are easily avoided
