Q: loss of sensitivity after chlamydia treatment

I lost my virginity in late December (with condoms) and slept with the same girl on several other occasions in late February, unfortunately this time without bothering to use condoms.

After 4 months of wondering why I experienced stinging when I tried to urinate, I finally got myself tested and took the chlamydia antiobiotics around 8 days ago.

However, a month before taking the antibiotics, I started noticing that the most pleasurable point on my penis had somehow completely lost its sensitivity, though the less pleasurable parts closer to the base of the shaft still retained their sensitivity. However it's become worse and worse in the last month and the desensitising has now spread a little bit further down the shaft.

I couldn't follow his explanation with particular clarity, but my doctor told me that this development is unrelated to the chlamydia and that it has probably occured due to some sort of nerve problem. He says I can expect the sensitivity to come back within the next few months.

However I'm not sure I buy this explanation, and would love some feedback on what other medical problems can cause such a de-sensitising.

Is it possible that leaving the chlamydia untreated for so long might have had this affect? Can chlamydia develop into a more serious STI if untreated, and can that in turn cause the penis to become desensitised?

Today I also noticed that I've developed a few tiny moles on the shaft, quite close to the main vein. Could it be that those moles are touching the vein and causing the loss of sensitivity?

I know this is a long post but I thought I'd clarify all the points. Would seriously welcome any help.

Cheers
