Hello.

My girlfriend is 27 years old and was just recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. She is having loss of sensation pretty much in her entire body. Her back is the worst i think. Pretty much everywhere has loss of sensation including legs, breasts, back, stomach and one time even her face I believe. when i say everywhere...I mean everywhere.

She mentioned this loss of sensation with doctors while she was getting checked for Fibromyalgia (This was before she was diagnosed) and it didnt seem like the doctors cared. they didnt say anything.

It hurts me to see her like this. I would greatly appreciate any information anyone has for me. Thank you for your time.

I lost sensation all over my body within 2 days and was admitted to hospital for 5 days. I had blood work, lumbar punture and an mri done in quick sucession as my symptoms progressed so quickly and I had trouble walking. All the mri showed was inflammation on my spine and in my brain and I wasn't diagnosed with anything. I was told if the symptons did return I might have ms. My mum and auntie have fibromyalgia and I often wonder if i have it too as I have so many symptoms.MS and fibromyalgia show similar symtoms and patients are often misdiagnosed because of this. You girlfriend should have had a lumbar punture and mri to see if lesions were present as in the case of ms.
