Q: Losing weight with hdl & trigs increasing, why?

im a 51 yr old female been working out at the ymca for a year have lost at least 50 pounds or more but i got my result of my blood work and my doctor wants to put me on zocor once a day cause my hdl was 44 triglycerides were 171 my ldl was 145 over all it was 223 and last year when i starting working out nad eating different it was 237 but hdl was 50 triglycerides was 148 ldl was 157 i thought with the changes in my life my blood work would look good i do have mvp was on a betra blocker 50 mg for years but my pulse was dropping in the 40s so im off it now but my chest pains are starting to return.. i do take blood pressure pills it helps my blood pressure i took the betra blocker for chest pain due to mvprosle but cant now cause of my pause going to low doesnt help my blood pressure at all did the chest pains my mom died of open heart sugery in 1969 she was 37 now could you give me advice on what to do what should i do now for my chest pains and should i take zocor any advice would help i have been feeling my heart missing beats due to mvp and no betra blocker is there a other one i can take wont mess with my paulse i was taking aternol thank you very much.....

Honey only you and your doctor can have the answer to this..Call the dotors office and let them kmow what is going on..You could also be stressing knowing your moms history..I understand that as my own mom died of autoimmune disease and I have many of her exact problems..So it is easy to worry..Medications need to be done by indiidua what works for one maynot for another..Try to relax this weekend and get into see your doctor..Should you get overly cocerned and start feeling bad then don't wait and go to nearest ER-just to be safe..
