17yrs old, 170 pounds. I workout everyday, lift weights, and play sports and I still have this annoying amount of belly fat! I have a high protein extremely low fat diet and eat around 2000-2200 calories. I do many many ab exercises and still this belly remains, please tell me what to do to get rid of it.

you need to incorporate at least 30 minutes of cardio to your excercise and you might want to cut down a few calories as well, i dont know what your height is so its hard to tell what weight you should be at, dont forget to eat a BALANCED diet, you dont want to eat TOO much protein for your weight as it will only turn to fat as well if your body cant use it...i believe you calculate the amount you should be eating by taking body weight, divide by 2.2 and then multiply by .8 I THINK, this is straight off my head from trying to remember from nutrition class, any extra protein you consume will not help, remember to stay away from simple carbs(white breads, sugars) and eat whole grains...keep it up, the belly fat wont fall off fast but in a few weeks you should see a difference! Clothes should fit better, you should feel better and i'm sure you'll get those "wow you look great!" comments haha

well you're on the right track! many guys that do lift weights dont put in enough cardio which is really important! So i think if you maintain and healthy diet and add some cardio to your work out you should see changes..remember, weight lifting/ab excercises will TONE those muscles but if you got a layer of fat on top you cant see them! Thats where the cardio should help out! just stick with it Smile

Make sure you are getting enough of the "Good" fats such as fish oils, flax, CLA etc. This will help you burn subcutaneuous fat over time.
