Yes, you can tear your hymen with foreplay if your boyfriend stick anything in your vagina, just like you can tear it yourself with rough masturbation.

Virginity and your hymen are two different things.
Depending on the culture you live in being a virgin means that you are sexually pure or that you did not have sexual intercourse yet (a penis in your vagina).

Your hymen is just a piece of mucus membrane that are left over from your embryonic phase. It partially covers the vaginal entry and can tear for many reasons - physical sports, tampon use, jumping type activities (gymnastics/horse back riding), masturbation, fooling around, intercourse.

It is a ring of 'skin' that is at the entrance to the vagina (not inside - it is like the foil seal you see on food bottles under the cap). It was meant to keep fluid out of the vagina while you were developing in your mother's womb. Before birth and during puberty, hormones change it so that it becomes thinner and a hole or multiple holes are formed so that mucus and menstrual blood can exit the vagina.

It can take many forms. It can be a ring around the outside, it can be only around one part of the circle, it can have a band of tissue stretching accross from one side to the other. If you search the interwebs (google) for " types of hymens: a guide for teens" you will find all the info you need.

While you are looking, take the time to explore and look at everything. If your hands are clean you can not break, harm or injure anything. It is probably the biggest favor you can do for your own sexual development to take a look and figure out what is there and how it look and work. You will find it different to the images you have seen in sex ed and other places and it is part of what makes you unique and beautiful.

If you are using tampons, the chances are very good that you have already felt your hymen.
