I work out daily alternating weights and cardio, the same plan I have followed for years. During the last couple of months, I have developed a weird sensation in my left arm when I’m lifting weights in the squat position. My entire left arm has been turning red and my blood vessels become very swollen. I feel as if I’m losing circulation to my left arm during this time and sometime my left arm even feels like it wants to burst.
At first, this sensation was only occurring about once a month so I ignored it. Recently, I have experienced this pain almost every other day. This pain only occurs when I’m squatting weight, and not when I’m doing any other exercises with weight. As a dancer, strong quads are essential to my career so I do not want to stop lifting weights in this position.
I’ve tried loosing my grip on the bar and holding the weights in different positions but nothing seems to work. I know this isn’t normal but is it cause for major concern? Should I go see a doct
