I have been on Loseasonique for almost a year. My boyfriend and I only use this as protection and he does not pull out. If I am on the yellow pills or the 1st pill in the new pack am I still protected? Can I continue having sex?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If you are regular with the pill intake at a scheduled time everyday, and do not miss taking the birth control pill, then you should continue to remain protected throughout the pill pack use. However none of the birth control measures are 100% safe and these can result in failures (contraceptive failures) leading to pregnancy. Using combined forms or additional birth control (condoms/spermicide/pullout method etc) along with use of birth control pills is known to give you higher protection. For further detailed discussion visit your doctor/gynecologist.
Take care.
