Q: Lose weight without dieting ?

I am curious about alternative weight loss programs like nevereverdiet.com. They seem too easy to be true. Has anyone had success with these "all in the mind" approaches?

i tried everything and it seems like you cant cheat, you have to do it the right way or it will be short term.
i tried starving myself, which i got a headache
i tried fasting, eating smaller meals, usually i would get so hungry and eat everything in site.
i started exercising and eating right and i lost weight. you cant call this a diet, you have to make it apart of your lifestyle. as they say diets dont work.

You said "you have to do it the right way or it will be short term". I am coming to the conclusion that any form of dieting is the wrong way.

What do you do to "eat right"?

I have had some success with The Gabriel Method by having a big yoghurt based breakfast and skipping dinner most days when I am not hungry at night. I still have my comfort foods.

Anyone else tried a "mental" approach to losing weight?

Thank you for the detailed reply! You should be doing fine.

I am not looking for an easy way out, just a more effective way to lose weight.

I have decided to give nevereverdiet.com a try. I wrote and asked for confirmation about their money-back deal and got a quick reply from the author.

I am off now to order the MP3 special and will let you know how it goes.

Thanks again.

Well, that download all went well. But it looks like I am an early adopter, going by my invoice number.

Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Anyway, I have now listened to the full nevereverdiet.com program. It took about an hour and a half. I am very impressed so far and will start on the 21 day journey tonight.

I don't think I will be sending it back.

Here's hoping, Marie

Just a quick follow up - just 16 days into the nevereverdiet.com 21 day plan and the weight is dropping off hubby and me and we feel great. Still spoiling myself with my comfort foods but eating more fresh foods.

We have a big breakfast with yoghurt, fruit, nuts and seeds. We usually have a large salad for lunch and no dinner - we are just not hungry at night and I never thought that would ever happen. But I am really enjoying not having to prepare food at night. Luckily, hubby is right into the program as well.

We are loving the nightly meditations and we are talking about continuing after the 21 days.

So far, really good.

Love
Marie

I can give you one piece of advice. There is a book/ Program you can read/watch called "think your self thin" Using the simple rule there is no dieting involved. I think this is brill! it has worked for my husband for a short period of time. in till he started working away and couldn't keep it up. But anyway he was just lazy and couldn't be bothered to think. But really if you have a brain and time to think. it will be wonderful for you.

Thank you WinterDreams. I agree that think yourself thin is on the same track - the right track imho. But it is an ebook with an optional DVD. Gabriel is a print book and a meditation CD, and nevereverdiet is mainly an audio program with an ebook.

I am so rapt with nevereverdiet that I am happy to share my copy with anyone who wants to try before they buy. Just let me know.

Love
Marie

You cant lose the weight without dieting unless if you are genetically gifted. You really need to diet and feed your body when you exercise your muscle and body needs to be fed so u can go back up for your long way run.

Listen to your body for True hunger. Replace one bad habit for a healthy one at a time. Be patient, be conscious about what you eat. Plan ahead of time so you are not caught by hunger and splurge. Slow and steady changes win the race. You have to be mentally ready or nothing not even the supplements I sell will help you. If you can't pronounce the ingredient, don't eat it. That is not a diet it is a way of life. Eat more fruits and veggies and stay away from fake food that sits on the shelf and in your intestines for months.

Diets don't work
You WON'T lose fat or look your best by just eating low carb, low fat diets, or low calorie diets. The truth is, fat loss comes down to eating in a way that's right for you. You're going to discover an easy way to trick your body into burning more by eating more with these delicious foods that satisfy your hunger cravings...

No this can't working, from my own experience best way to loose weight is to join your healthy food with some amount of excercising. But changing of your eating habbits must be slow, because it can be stressful for your organism what can lead to fat gaining...

I believe that a balanced diet, which can be the everyday diet for the rest of your life, associated with daily physical exercises can really give results... I guess it depends from person2person.
