You cannot lose fat in a certain place. There is no way to spot fat reduction, unless with surgery which is not an option. The weight loss will come with overall fat reduction. Doing crunches, sit ups, etc will only increase your waist circumference.

It is not as simple as concentrating on your abs. I recommend doing lots of cardio, building muscle causes hypertorphy, which will actually increase the circumference of your stomach, so you will actually be increasing it, but still keeping fat over it. Lose the fat, then build the muscle to tone.

Hi
I agree with there is no miracle cure or spot reducing......but I have found results using the Sugar Busters Diet.....cut out all sugar... Also white bread, potatoes, white rice and pasta. Eat more lean protein(chicken turkey, fish high in Omega3)limit red meat to once a week. Eat more high fiber filling good carbs, fruits, wheat products and leafy greens! Walk............Walk for 20-30 minutes a day. Walking is the perfect exercise and does not put stress on other body parts. You have to start by taking in less calories than you are using. Burn more calories, loose more fat......by building muscle! I am no expert.....my husband is a body builder, has been for years.........I've just learned from watching him! You can also do weight training. A good set of dumbbells/weights can also whittle the middle! Kinda hard to imagine Fairy*Godmother at 50 with a bowflex body! Gravity is not friendly!
