I haven't yet been fully diagnosed with Lupus, but in the past i was going through tests to see if i had it or not, and my flares just dissappeared, so i stupidly quit going for my blood labs. =( (dumb young teenager) since then.. this was about 5 years ago, i hadn't had any of the flares of lupus, but on Monday I got another batch for the first time in 5 years.

I've been to my doctor, and she's given me steroid shots and a packof steroid meds to help with my swelling and joint pain and such, and she's suggesting that i go into the hospital, as my rashes and swelling aren't getting better.

Is there really anything the hospital could do for me if I were to go? The only reason i'm waiting is becuase unfortinuately with my insurance i have to pay 30% of the hospital costs... I don't want to go for them just to give me another steroid shot that isn't going to fully help.

I'm sorry if i don't make much sense, i'm on a few lortabs as my doctor had to perscribe me some pain medication since my joints are so swolen that it's almost impossible for me to move.
