The menstrual cycle and menstrual can vary both in length and in quantity of lost blood. Most often the menstrual period lasts from 3 to 7 days. According to the symptoms you reported, you might be experiencing bleeding yet because the inner lining of the uterus is not completely detached yet. However, if the bleeding lasts for few more days or this situation repeats the next menstrual period, then you might want to visit your gynecologist for pelvic exam and additional laboratory and perhaps ultrasound tests.
