I've had menstrual problems since I got my period when I was 13. I've had irregularly heavy periods forever. I'm 29 now. I get my period for 50-80 days at a time, heavy and very painful. I've been to numerous gynocologists over the years. I've had every procedure imaginable, laperoscopy, hysteroscopy, dnc biopsy's... I've only had one doctor tell me that I have hyperplasia without itapia (spelling?) I'm fed up, I would like to have a hysterectomy and all doctors tell me the same thing "you are of child bearing age". I can't deal with the extensive bleeding and pain. I have been told I do NOT have endometriosis, but, I believe I do. I've done a lot of research over the years. This is affecting my marriage, as I can't have sex very much. When I finally can, its painful. HELP!! What should my next step be?? I need some answers. .... Thanks! KJK

i have d.u.b Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding.
the doctors say i have hormonal imbalance which causes me to bleed forever. this has been a problem for me for a year.
i understand how it effects your sex life. i am 32 and the doctor put me on the
depo shot, hysteroscopy, D&C.

-Birth control pills regulate period
-Entometrial ablation-destroy uterine lining.
-Hysterectomy
-Oral progestin
-IUD
-Gonadotropin releasing hormonal alogues this is rarely used it reduces your estrogen levels making your body think your going through menopause stopping your period.

-There are herbs you can use to balance your hormones. research holistic herbal remedies & and Chinese medicine.

If you are absolutely sure that you don't want kids you may be able to talk the doctor into giving you a less invasive procedure called a uterine ablation. This burns the uterine lining causes infertility. Women who have this procedure experience little or no bleeding. This is not reversable.

From what I understand, the general requirement for getting a hysterectomy is that you have at least two pregnancies or you are aged thirty or older.
