I am on Aleese right now and in about 2 weeks I am switching over to Loestrin ( I believe 1/20?) The Aleese has given me horrible acne and a good amount of weight gain. I know the pill isnt the main cause of my weight gain, but I know it has something to do with it. Anyways, my question is for those who are out there and taking Loestrin, is it a good pill? I have read some other postings on websites and most of what I read, really wasnt good. My sister is on Loestrin (not sure of the dosage) and she loves it. Any advice would be appreciated!

I loved it as well. No problems. Reduced my period, made my cramps go away, it was great.

Just remember that most of what you read (online in general) will be negative, because people come on here to commisserate about bad experiences, not to say "Hey, guess what? I love my pill!" Know what I mean?

I love Loestrin. It really has helped my periods in terms of length and made cramps and that sort of thing extremely minimal. Before I went on Loestrin, I had extremely heavy, painful, and long periods that were almost debilitating. With Loestrin, my period usually doesn't last more than 2 days, which I think any woman can agree is a blessing! However, it's the only birth control I have ever taken, so I have nothing to compare it to.

Loestrin advice
Thank you for your advice. I start the new pills in about 2 weeks so hopefully it works well with me. This will be the 4th pill I have tried in almost 10 yrs. I use to take Zovia and it was really bad for me. I had a lot of stomach problems, I was in and out of the doctor, lost weight (not really complaining about that though) and missed a lot of work. I switched to Aleese about 6 months ago and I have gained weight and my skin broke out so bad I have been seeing a dermatologist for it. Did any of you have break outs or weight gain?

Let us know how the switch works out for you! I've never personally tried it, but I'm actually thinking about switching pill brands and am not sure which one I want to switch to yet. Different pills effect people in different ways. Good luck!
