I had already posted a topic about using Loestrin 24, and my periods have been crazy since I have been taking the pills. I am just now finishing my first pack (I'm on the 3rd brown pill) I think, and so far this month I have had 3 periods or "spotting" I'm really not sure anymore.

When I first started taking the pills it was when I was on my period. (I got my period the 30th of June which is a Monday) I started taking the pills on that Thursday the 3rd of July. My period got lighter and I thought everything was going great and it stopped.

Then a week later I got another period which lasted about 2 weeks. It wasn't a completely heavy flow but everyday would be different.

After the 2 weeks my period stopped and I was happy thinking that is was over. This only lasted like 2 or 3 days.

Then the day before I started taking the first of the brown pills I got my period again which is currently. And the flow is a little heavier than what it's ever been. Oh also, I usually take my pills at around 9 pm every night, and I accidentally took the first brown pill at 4 am instead. Is that really bad to do? I probably shouldn't have taken it at all but I did.

Should I switch birth controls? Or should I stay with this one?
Please help!!

Honestly...it's your first pack. That's not enough time really to see your body properly adjust. My doctor has told me, for the two diff BC brands I went on at two completely diff times, that you need at least 3 months for you to really experience the pills.

It can take awhile...if things don't smooth out after 3 months, then I would urge you to find something else. But right now, you just have to put up with this poop. I know...annoying, but at least you're being smart and protected. Smile

I agree with Sydney. Also, it doesn't matter when you take your brown pills, it doesn't even matter IF you take them. So don't worry about it.
