Hi,

I used to use Diane 35 bc pill when I just got married in 2005, was on that pill for 2 years, and I gained around 30 pounds (ugh). In 2007, my gyno told me to change to Yaz, and that gave me high blood pressure, so I stopped taking bc pills completely.

Since Nov 2008, suddenly my period gone crazy.. I had spotting for days and days.. and I had like 2 or 3 periods (the heavy ones!) a month, and sometimes I only have 7-10 days non-bleeding days. Can you imagine how miserable that is? Razz

We actually wanna have a baby, so bc pills are not on my option actually. But , after hearing my irregularity, my gyno puts me on another bc pill! (Loestrin24Fe). What's with the gynos and the pills? Didn't she hear me just saying that we want to have a baby? But yeah, with 2-3 periods a month, it's difficult to know when I'm ovulating. The thing is, I dunno if it's just a hormonal imbalance, or I have some other condition.

Anyway, she explained that my body doesn't function correctly. My brain can't send the right signal to my reproduction system, so the pills will sort of 'reboot' my system and hopefully after 3-6 months of pills, my body will be in order.

What do you guys think about this? Is this a good idea? To bring back my regular period by using the pills?

If you have any similar experience please share with me cuz I'm really frustrated with this. Thanks! Smile

Well, you're not ovulating on birth control-- so you need to wait until she takes you off the pill.

I think its a good idea. Birth control regulated my periods-- I wasn't ttc, but after I went off the pill I had a normal 28 day cycle.

I'm sorry your frustrated, but I'm sure you won't be on birth control very long and it would make things sooo much easier for your to be regular first, then ttc.

Good luck-- and check out the Pregnancy forums. You'll see a lot of women trying to prevent pregnancy in this forum and there are probably a lot more women in the Pregnancy forums who are in similar situations. Very Happy
