Immortality rings - It is believed to allow humans to live forever!!(by inventor Alex Chiu) I dont personaly believe in this, but I think this stuff works for curing some diseases. It is said to work like acupuncture, but without needles!

Who would want to live forever? And why?

Welcome to ehealth, Doc.
To answer your question: I think I’ll pass. I do believe that humans have immortal souls, but I don’t want to live in this body forever. As it is everything has gone south and if it goes any further I’ll have some of my vital organs in my kneecap area.

I think the notion of immortality is entirely quaint and arrogant in that humans are special enough to live forever. Obviously, I would like to never 'not exist', but where would the value of individual life be?

As for 'immortality rings', Alex Chiu is just exploiting people's gullibility.

Confused I'll take forever...but not in this old body...a soul lives forever so I am going to live on anyway.

I think the concept of immortality comes from not wanting to leave our loved ones behind, and a fear of being forgotten. For some it may also involve not wanting to lose their personal possessions. All of these are normal human emotions and fears, and far from arrogance in my belief. We all have a fear of death.

I also believe that souls live forever and are just sort of 'recycled' into new physical bodies. Many people think they want to live forever because they fear death, and it's a totally understandable fear because there's bloody nothing you can do to stop it from happening. Humans are so used to having control of their bodies in some way that it scares many to think that the control will eventually be taken away.

I don't think I'd want to live forever, or choose to come back after a certain point. The Earth is going to burn up in the sun in about 7 billion years and I would not want to be on the planet when everyone is frying and watching their loved ones die in a fiery armageddon that no one can stop.

when I think 'immortal', I go straight for vampire. Especially Stephanie Meyer's version (Twilight, they are currently making the movie). If I could have their life, I would SO do it. But in reality and what REALLY happens, I'm glad I have to die sometime. My soul will come back [again] eventually, after a nice rest.

I'd rather not exist eternally. Doesn't that thought completely exhaust you?
