Hi,
I'm 21 years old, Male, non smoker and I hardly drink.

A month ago, i had a blood test which indicated that my LDH was elevated. It was at 281 and the normal range was (120-250). Everything else in the blood test was normal(CBC etc normal). My doctor asked me to do liver function test which I did recently. The results came out, my LD was elevated again , this time at 327 U/L. The other variables were as follows:

Total Bili: 8 umol/L (Range 4-20)
ALP: 59 U/L (Range 35-110)
GGT: 22 U/L (5-50)
LD: 327* U/L (120-250)
AST: 23 U/L (10-40)
ALT: 20 U/L (5-40)
Total Protein: 78 g/L (68-85)
Albumin: 51* g/L (39-50)
Globulin: 27 g/L (23-39)

I'm concerned about these results. My doctor have referred me to a gastroenterologist for further examination. She has also ordered viral serology to check whether viral antibodies are present.
What causes an elevated LD as well as a slight elevated Albumin. I've not taken any medication, nor done any strenuous exercises. I'm worried about things like liver cancer, lymphoma as well. Do those only cause elevated LDs? I would like some input on this. Thanks
