Biopsy of internal tissue is ultrasound guided and usually there is no internal bleeding.
As for the relief from chemotherapy side effects, antiemetics would be given for the nausea and vomiting. You might read many things online for relief from chemotherapy side effects, but none of them are medically proven and usually involve use of supplementary products, instead of medication.

My mum is in her mid 50s and has just been diagnosed with metasistic liver cancer , it started in her stomach and has spread to her liver.

Doctors said she has 6 months to live without chemo and 9 months with chemo.

After many CT scans we have been advised for her to undergo 3 weeks of chemo.

Iam reading around the net of the awful side effects of chemo being described as a poisen killing the immune system. is this true?

My mum refuses to go chemo. i think in this situation either way its not looking good. and i have read survival rate is close to 0%

Can someone please help and put some input and be able to advise me some professional suggestions/information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
Do not loose hope my dear, you have to be strong for your mom. Exactly same happened with one of my best friend. In such a condition I would suggest you to go for post cancer detoxification. This would definitely help you as one of my close friend had the same experience, was so depressed. She availed the facilities of a health retreat centre called Fresh Start Health Retreat Center, situated South Island Highway,Oyster Bay in Canada. She availed the 5 Day Wellness Program inclusive of Juice Fasting & Body Detox. They taught about what to eat & what to avoid in the program, yoga, juice fasting everything went very smoothly & i was entirely relaxed, detoxed, recharged and felt awesome..Smile you can also personally contact them @ ( 888-658-3324).Dont worry your mom would be alright after such a therapy..All the best:) do call them before the position gets worse.

result of chemoembolization

Hi All,
My dad is 74 and he has a big tumor about 8X9 sm. Just last Thursday he had first, but as doctor said last chemoembolization in China. Doctor said that the chemoembo was almost no result, because of 2 reasons. 1- dad's artery and vein are connected somehow and it has a hole. so the medicine can not be kept in tumor, cause it runs away through vein.... 2. his artery's shape is not straight, but kind of S shape, so the straight catheter could not reach the exact place to be blocked, seems it means that the catheter could not enter properly.
So they suggested no more chemoembolization, but instead radiotherapy 10-11 times and heirotherapy 5-6 times.
is there anybody who has an idea about hole in artery and also S shape of artery. I am wondering whether there is no S shape catheter that can enter to S shape artery etc. ????? what. is it really no way to make again chemoembolization.? or whatever......thanks all
