Hi everyone. I have been doing research for months with little results. I am also 26 years old and have multiple lipomas. I think I started to get them when I was about 23. Just one day I had a small lump under my skin under my biceps. From then on they have spread all over: lower back, upper thighs, stomach, and sides of waist. I probably have about 30 of them. Its very embarrassing every time I work out at the gym people ask me about it. Some research I have done points to over acidity of the body. In the past couple of years I have gone through a lot of stress, started to drink a lot more, drank a lot of soda, and coffee, worked out extensively, eating a lot of meat as well. All of these things are acidic or cause over acidty. I'm going try to switch to an alkaline diet and see what happens. I've stopped drinking bear, soda, and coffee also. Does anyone else have any similarities in there diets like mine that have lipomas?

Lipoma's if we share our results we could finde the cure!
Both my arms are peppered with Lipomas and I was considering having them all cut out as apparently liposuction can leave traces which will cause regrowth.
I wanted to first try the natural route and see if I can find the cause, also having 50 cut marks on my arms may get people asking other questions like 'when did you stop self harming!'
I have one very large lump on my wrist which has started to dare I say shrink. I have been long convinced that there is a dietary link, and some people like us lumpy sorts may simply not handle certain foods as well as others.
For around 6 weeks now I have cut right back on my intake of dairy and cut out caffeine. I am also drinking a litre of fruit smoothie a day with loads of berries etc
Doctors have no idea what causes these things and little research is done because thankfully they are not (touch wood) life threatening.
The webs a wonderful place and we could find the answer to many mysteries...so keep blogging!
I too would be very cautious of the claims of the companies selling untested wonder cures...if we all eat more of the good stuff we humans evolved on the pharmaceutical companies would not be bleeding our healthcare systems dry of funds..
Just read that the US spends 13 Billion dollars on arthritis drugs and a further 17 billion on further drugs to control the side effects..Nutrionists claim that it has been proven that this condition is best controlled by diet..sorry I am getting on my soap box...going now!

I am not giving up
I am living off mostly green smoothies, don't consume any sugar, bread, coffee, anything white (pasta, rice) alcohol, has taken the entire bottle (700 or something pills) of Vitalzyme, that was supposed to destroy blood clots, fibromas and help with varicose veins.Regularly take digestive enzymes, do liver cleansing, coffee enemas, fasting, etc. While it really benefited my health, has no effect on lipomas.

Lipoma not unrelated to environmental factors
In 1993 I noticed a small hard lump just beneath the skin on my lower left abdomen. After about 10 years in turned into noticeable lump, a lipoma.
I refused getting it removed because I felt that there was more I was to learn from it.
After a lot of changes I was faced with a candida infection in my throat, gut and sinuses.
Now, six months later, after the two week anit-candida medicine and still adhering to the anti-candida diet (gluten free, no yeast, ferments, vinegar, cheese or mushrooms) my lipoma is softening and reducing in size.
If the basic mechanism of lipoma is one of storing an un-usable substance that is continually being assimilated by the body, then it is not very likely than one remedy will work for everyone.
If this reduction of my lipoma continues, I hope to return to this forum and post and update.

Not giving up
I live off green smoothies, no sugar, flour, rice, bread in my diet, sticking to mostly raw diet, rregularly drink Kombucha. regularly take digestive Enzymes and Vitalzyme that is supposed to help and prevent blood clots, fibroids, etc. While my health is generally great, no effect on my lipomas. I am starting castor oil applications and will try magnet therapy (when my sister from Ukraine mails it to me). I also started taking apple cider vinegar with Manuka honey 3 times a day. What I noticed, my chronic thigh pain is gone. Not sure if apple cider has anything to do with it, but the pain is suddenly disappeared.

Re: limpotab

I ordered limpotab from their website, i received it today. It should have come from Norway but instead it came from Pakistan. I am afraid to take this because it contains a herb called Colchium autumnale which is said to be poisionus at even low does. If you put the name in google it does say it is used for gout treatment but most warn of using this herb because it can be fatal. I beleive that Lipmotab and lipmotin are fakes and are not what they claim to be i will not be taking this treatment as the side effects of Colchium autumnale are very severe.

What's the surgery like?
I too have a lot of Lipomas all over my lower back. I have a couple on nerves that can be quite painful if touched or rubbed up against. I've heard surgery is the only way to get rid of them but was wondering what type of surgery it requires? How long does it take (if there's a lot to be removed)? Are you an out patient? Do you have scars all over from it? Do they have to stitch up each incision? It makes me nervous to go in for surgery (obviously) but I'd be willing to do it to get some comfort back and remove some of the problem area ones. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I am 25 and have around 40 lipoma all over my body. Mostly on my hands, thighs and stomach. I have also done a lot of research over this which i want to share:

1. Lipoma are fat deposits formed when the body has reduced ability to process fat and clean blood. The cause of this is still unknown. So having a good healthy diet(low fat)and exercising is very helpful.

2. Make your body aerobic, ph above 7.0, supposedly cancer and other viruses can not live in a aerobic atmosphere, so by adding lot of oxygen to your body it kills the tumors. That is why exercising and doing yoga especially pranyama (breathing exercise) can cure lipoma because your body gets lot of oxygen. Try to eat antioxidant foods.

3. Don't opt for surgery until and unless its the last option it wont help. I dont know about liposuction but I heard its not good for big lipomas. Anyways both these treatment are expensive also. Instead go for HCG diet which is not expensive and dont require a doctor but its difficult and requires strict commitment and discipline to follow.

4. Drink lot of water, eat lot of fruits, avoid fatty foods, eat lot of antioxidants and do breathing exercise.

spinal cord tumor called lipoma
Hi all my name is vijay and i'm 35 years old.I'm a disabled person since 2004,made surgery in my spinal cord to remove a tumor called lipoma Yes i have a lipoma tumor in my spinl cord from D10 to D11.My last Mri report said there is an intradual lipoma at the level of D11.the lipoma also has an extradual component posteriorly. The intradural lipoma measure about 1.8cms in width,2.4cms in length and 0.7 in thickness. It has not changed significantly in size since july 2004. so for the time i'm not doing special treatment with my doctor.I have found so many interesting things in net. Before i made this MRI,i under go with lots of search on wed.Start my own treatment with excercises very light as i walk with a help of a crutch.I have spasticity in my left leg with weakness.Only one lipoma made my life like hell but reading all of your texts,i do not know what to say. What i learn with lipoma tumor that they grow when we take improper food,so feed the tumor cell and they are happy to grow.To stop this growth, should have to take proper food.I stop taking oilly food, sugar, fast food, canned fruits and juice, bread and sweets.because you have to know what you are eating. So friends start a good diet with fresh vegetables, fruits and natural food.Mineral and enzymes can be obtained only in these foods .You can use steamer or juicer for your diet, avoid sugar, and salt.Check your weight everyday and do blood test to check cholesterol.Make reseach on antioxidant, this will help you in your diet.A tumor cell dies with oxygen,so read on cellfood products. For the time i'm takng propolis (bee health).Eat wheat flour fruits and juice, take omega, for veg take flax seed oil have omega 3 6 9,noni juice, green tea,,soy protein. These things will help your body to fight with tumor cell. Before taking these product please learn about it and do not mix.Your kitchen is a medical shop.so friend good luck.If anybody have a tumor in spine so let me know.thanks.

Hi Everyone,

I was just reading through all of this and I don't have much to add other than I can empathize. I am 32, male, and I have a number of lipomas. They are embarassing, they rob you of self-confidence, and there is not much you can do about them.

I have had 4 removed but like many people have said, more seem to come back. For those who haven't had it done, the removal is a simple procedure with local anesthesia that can be completed in 5-10 minutes. I found a local doctor that does it right in his office. It will leave a scar but for the ones that I have had removed, I prefer the scar over the lump. That said, I think this is largely genetic and if you are pre-disposed to have lipoma, removing them just makes your body create new ones in another spot. So, my advice is to remove as few as possilbe - perhaps the ones that are most bothersome.

In the end, I think that we all hope for some form of treatment that is real and permanent. I really hope that happens in my lifetime.

I wish the best to all of you. We don't deserve this but there is nothing we can do about it. So enjoy life the best that you can!
