At cheerleading today i was basing a stunt and on our twist down the girl i was flying hit me in the lip with her elbow. I got hit on my upper lip near where my nose is. My nose is somewhat swollen and i have a bad blood blister on the inside of my lip. The whole right side of my mouth is very swollen and numb. My mom was going to take me to the dentist tomorrow to get my teeth checked to make sure none are loose. I was wondering what i should do about the blood blister and if there is anything i need to do to make sure it doesn't get worse?

There's really nothing that can be done for a blood blister except to leave it alone. You're not supposed to pop them; I know from experience that this only makes it more painful and takes longer to heal. I've gotten blood blisters from working with wood and getting my fingers pinched. The only thing I could do was try not to let anything touch/ hit it. After about a week the blood kind of dried up inside the blister and the skin hardened to become like a callous, then was easily peeled off. Because your blister is on the inside of the lip it may heal differently.
