I'm on Aviane birth control and started bleeding last wendsday (I had a week and a half of active pills left) and went to my doctor about the bleeding. She said it was because the pills that I was on weren't strong enough and that after the month was up I would switch to a different kind. However, she told me that as long as I kept taking the pills eventually the bleeding would lessen and eventually stop. She also said that she would be shocked if I bled for the rest of the month. Well it's a week later and the bleeding has pretty much stopped, except for right as my boyfriend and I finish having sex. It then continues for about 15-20 minutes afterwards but it doesn't hurt me at all (it's just VERY aggravating). This has happened the last 3 or 4 times we've had sex. I was wondering if this was related to my birth control or if there was more to the situation.

It could be due to your pill, but you should bring this up to your doctor when you go back for the new pill.

Is it heavy bleeding or just spoitting?

It isn't that heavy at all and it only lasts for a little bit.
