Q: Likelihood of mouth and throat infection

Please can you help me, I have had a sore mouth and throat for over a week, its getting worse and keeping me awake at night with the pain. I have small mouth ulcers on my tongue and the back of my throat as well as red patches in my mouth.I cant taste food just a very bitter taste in my mouth. My gums have been bleeding badly and this morning i noticed my tongue was green at the back. I also have a slight fever and headaches.

Given the data you provided, you might be experiencing a mouth and throat infection. You might want to visit your doctor for a throat swab which will determine exactly the bacteria and the most useful antibiotic.


Meanwhile, you might want to rinse your mouth with antiseptic solution several times a day.
