Q: Lightheaded and weak muscles

I've been having a drained, weak, lightheaded pain in my head for 6 months. My muscles in my shoulders, arms, and trunk often feel weak, rigid, electric, and generally uncomfortable. I also feel the need to stretch them a lot, but the stretching never makes them feel better. I also was diagnosed with Gastroparesis in January, but have probably had it for more than a year.

My baseline blood work has all been normal, except for slightly low Vitamin D levels. My ALT and AST liver enzymes were elevated for over a year (At one point my ALT was 256 I.U./L), but they're normal now. I’m taking Vitamin D3 and Vitamin B12 supplements, along with a liquid multivitamin. I've had an MRI of the brain, which was fine. My serum copper was normal. I'm awaiting an order for my urine copper levels. I exercise daily and I get a good 7 hours of sleep every night.

What could be causing my symptoms and are there any other tests I should have run?

Your question involves the pain in your head, along with weakness in your shoulders, arms, and trunk.

Based on the information you provided about gastroparesis, it may be advisable to find a good nutritionist who is trained to teach you how to eat organic foods, in the right proportions, in order to limit toxins that may contribute to liver stress, thus straining detoxification systems in the body.

Supplements are helpful, however, nutrition must be addressed.
