jwa08,
Welcome to the forum.
It does not sound like anxiety, more like a physical problem. Go back to the doctor and ask for a more detailed blood work up. I recently found out I had an extreme vitamin D deficiency, which causes severe bone pain, and extreme sleepiness all the time. I can sleep 16 hours a day and still feel exhausted. I felt so tired, gained weight, my skin was so dry, I felt cold all of the time, it also caused short term memory problems. I kept telling my regular internist about it, he did the stimulating thyroid hormones test and kept telling me it was normal, I knew with research I had all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Online I learned that their were new guidelines on how they diagnosed the disorder. The old guidelines were .03 to 5.6. The new guidelines were .03 to 3. I got my blood results and found out my TSH came back a 5.48 which is not considered very high. I take 75mcls of synthroid.. It wasnt until I saw an endocrinologist that I finally got the correct diagnosis. He was wonderful, and did several other blood tests and thats how we found about the low vitamin D levels. I think you need to get copies of your blood tests and read the numbers yourself. She if they gave you the thyroid tests. Also are you having any other symptoms?
