Q: light period 12 days late

Hi everyone,

My period came this month 12 days late and very light. I took a hpt two days before it started and it was negative (took the test early evening). My breasts are very swollen. Would it be wise taking another test, or a negative is a negative, even if period is late? Thanks for your advice.

hello there..swollen or tender breasts can be a sign of normal menstuation.. there is no harm in trying another one..i would think your probably not as from various posts here the tests are usually accurate.
