Q: light patches on forehead

My son has some light patches across forehead, that seem to be spreading over his face. Is this something that could be serious. They are not scaly, and I don't see them anywhere else on his body.

Any time you notice a rash-like formation on your child, you should take them to the doctor-especially if a fever accompanies it.

Thanks but that what's puzzling the spots are not rash-like and there is no fever

I would still advise you to take him to the doctor. Even with no fever, if you can't tell what the spots might be, a doctor should be able to.
Are they warm to the touch?

No they feel just like his normal skin just with less color. A dermatologist probally would best??

I would take him to a pediatrician, not a dermatologist.
The reason? You said the spots started on his forehead and are spreading to his face.

Yes there was only one or two and now there are several. I've made an appointment with his pediatrician for Thursday and I'll go from there. Thanks for your input.
