Spotting occurs in about 30% of women in early pregnancy. Was the blood bright red or brown? Personally I would go to the ER or make an appointment soon with my doctor to get checked out. Bleeding doesn't necessarily mean a miscarriage but it could and I would rather go get checked out and get an ultrasound and make sure everythings ok.

I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago because i had taken a home pregnancy test, and by that weekend i started spotting brown and then a while later i started bleeding more like a red light bleeding, shortly after that i had started cramping. The doctor took my blood and said that my hormone level went down. i was at 30 when i first found out and then it went down to 20. They said that i was about 2 weeks along by my hormone level. According to my last period (may 18 ) i should be about 7 weeks. They had told me that i was probably miscarring. A few days later they took my blood and it went up a point. When i had went to the emergancy room when i was bleeding they said that my cervix was still closed. I am so confused and don't know what is going on! No one know how far along i am or how my baby is doing. they will not do an ultrasound and i don't know why! I need help!
