I do not need any answers here. I am just
trying to inform as many women as I can
about Lichen Sclerosus.
I have suffered for 15 years with these
symptoms, and finally a doctor who took
the time to biopsy my skin gave me the
answer.
Other doctors went as far as telling me I
was just probably crazy.
Anyway, Lichen Sclerosis is an
inflammatory disease of the skin. It has
nothing to do with STD's. It is lifelong,
can not be cured, but it can be managed.
The main treatment is Corbetasol.
Personally, i have found betamethasone
cream with canesten less intense.
It is a very common major skin condition,
but most doctors have never heard of it,
unless they are top Gyn./Specialists.
If you suspect you may have LS, please
take the time to get a small biopsy
of the area. Your vagina and mind will
thank you!
Oh, and spread the word, we need to have
women stop this ridiculous disease in its
track.
Don't you if most men were suffering from
this that they would figure out a cause,
and a cure????????????
