Hello Everyone,

My name is Vincent and I like a drink – vodka and real beer. Trouble is it affects my brain and my body. But I notice that when I’ve been off the booze for a few days I feel more sprightly and agile and my mind is much clearer. (I suppose it affects everyone like this).

Could anyone recommend a system to avoid the lethargy I go through. Please don’t tell me to stop drinking!

Thanks

Hi, vinnjb. Welcome to ehealth forum.
I wish I had a good response for you but other than suggesting that you drink in moderation and don't mix different types of alcohol, I have no idea what could help you. After one or two alcoholic beverages I get all warm and sleepy so I rarely drink. (Plus I am now on medications that hasten the effects of alcohol.) Are you on medications that might interact with the alcohol?
If this is not an issue, perhaps you should repost your question in General Questions forum for more responses. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
