sometimes when i'm lying down in bed my leg will suddenly jerk like it was shocked with a taser gun. doesn't hurt and just lasts a split second and then no more. this has happened ever since i was a teenager from time to time.

how common is that for people with MS or anyone in general to have that?

thanks.

From what you are describing, it sounds like Restless Leg Syndrome. As I hear, it affects many people and is pretty common. Some say it is genetic.
Look up Restless Leg Syndrome and see if your symptoms match. There is medication available that helps.

thank you for your response. i read up and i don't really have those symptoms. my legs can feel fine and then they just suddenly jerk and then it's over. i don't feel the need to move them and usually i'm really calm right before it happens. sometimes just about to fall asleep.

my doctor suspects i have a neurological problem, but we won't know what until i can actually see a neurologist.

I have MS and just a couple hours ago what you're saying happened to me. It happens very infrequently, but I'm positive it's related to my ms.

thanks for responding.

i won't be able to see a neurologist for a couple more weeks, so i still don't know what's going on.

if you wouldn't mind, could you please share some more of your symptoms? this is a tricky thing to figure out and so far i feel as though i have all the symptoms except for double vision. although sometimes when i close my eyes they kind of feel "burny" and jittery if that makes any sense.

lately i have been having numerous tachycardia events as well, but i don't think that is related.

I have ms and the rls at times is alost unbearable, but i recently started smoking pot and it seems to have helped alot. I was taking .5 Mirapex 3 times a day and now I take 0 a day. My rls was not only at night, but during the day also.

It seemed that when I was busy at work and keeping my mind busy I would not notice it as bad.

Since stopping the Mirapex I have been having really bad night sweats though, I'm not sure if it is related.
