Q: leg injury on eliptical

On my workout,I tried the eliptical machine.I pushed very hard with my right leg,and i am in pain,on the side of my knee and in the bend(back of my leg.it's been over 3 weeks.I have tried stretching,walking and knee chest.it has gotten worse.i have a doctor's appt. for tuesday,I do not take pain meds.i have tried hot alt.with cold. it irritates the condition.The ligament on the side of the knee feels stretched an there is pain in the joint below the knee(side)

I have knee problems and I would definately not use heat. Use ice. On for 20 minutes off for 20 minutes. Keep repeating that. You really should be taking and antiinflammatory like ibuprofen or aleve. The only way to know what is truly going on is to visit your doctor but why be in so much pain in the meantime? Try some ibuprofen. You probably strained something. If you do the eliptical again try pushing equally with both legs so you don't put so much strain on one leg.
