I am 14 years old and i have been getting these random spasms of pain in my lower left side, below my ribs and above my hip bone. When i get up and take a few steps, i get this pain like someone just punched me there, and then it just goes away. It happens about 4 or 5 times a day. it's really bothering and worrying me. I started getting it 3 days before my monthly period, and now i am on my period, everyone is just saying that it is probably cramps. but i feel that it is more than that, because I never get cramps and when i rarely do, they are never like this. Help me!

If this is in your pelvic region and off to your ovary side, you could have ovarian cysts. Thes are common and most go away on their own, but some may require other means of treatment. You really do need to go to a physican or GYN and have them check you. ALso, have you informed your parents?
