left arm pain, pectoralis release and an elbow release, now?

I have had 7 operations on my left arm I was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome in 2008 I got a little better in but at water therapy in 2011 I re injured my left arm and had a pectoralis release and an elbow release last november. I also suffered hema toma from this so the doctor feels like if I am not better by May he will send me to Denver for a 2nd opinion Please help

Sorry about all of your problems.

You have a very complex problem. You only mention three of your seven surgeries on your upper extremity. So, you have a lot more going on than what you mention in your post.

It sounds like you have reached the limit of what your current surgeon is comfortable taking care of.


So, if you are not better by May, then you will most likely have to see the specialist in Denver.

But, if surgery is recommended, by sure that it is for something that is correctable. Not just for "well, let's do the surgery and see what happens", type of surgery. Those types of surgery, usually just lead to more hematomas, scar tissue, and post-op problems.


Again, sorry about all of your troubles. You have a very complex set of problems. It is probably going to take someone well versed in those problems to figure out exactly what the problem is.
