Q: LBBB and dizzy with palpitations

I am 39 years old and diagnosed with LBBB about a year ago. I was in a very stressful job and had an episode of severe chest pain prior to my diagnosis. I have since left my work but am getting palpitations and dizziness on occasions. I have seen my doctor who seemed unconcerned saying it was all due to the LBBB. I do not know what caused the LBBB and my doctor does not seem at all inclined to do any tests. Should I be pushing for them? I am concerned especially when I am very dizzy and my pulse is racing. I am otherwise fairly fit if peri-menopausal. I do not smoke, drink alcohol and am vegetarian. My BMI is 24-25. Should I take aspirin as a precaution? I know there have been postings on this subject before but I feel very lost and unsupported by my GP and concerned as I am a mother of 3.
Any advice would be very gratefully redeived
Thankyou

LBBB is not uncommon and for many people gives them no symptoms at all.
I wouldn't advise taking precautionary aspirin unless it's been prescribed by a doctor because it does thin the blood and it's side effects may compound any symptoms you're currently having (ie. if your dizzy episodes are caused by low blood pressure, aspirin may exacerbate the problem).
It doesn't hurt to try getting an opinion from a different doctor, and if you do get severe chest pain again or get dizzy to the point of passing out, always present to a hospital.

Thanks for replying I think you're right about the aspirin I hadn't thought of it that way I just got concerned after reading a doctors reply to someone else on this site with LBBB that it is caused by a small infarct. I think stress is a big factor here and the best thing to do if I'm concerned is to try not to be concerned! Good in principle!
Thanks again.
