Q: laws for mothers and pay

my boss told me that if i try to get umeployment while on my leave after i have the baby casue they dont pay for that type of leave.they told me that i can not have my job back is that even aloud?i mean what am i to do for food and paying my bills? is there away to get money while out and still be able to keep my job?

It depends on what state (or country) you live in. Yes, you should be able to get short-term unemployment if your job does not pay for maternity leave. In some states, your employer doesn't have to give you your job back after maternity leave, others they do. Check online to see what your state's laws are.
