In some people's mind its WRONG to savor the death of a child molestor, they will argue the child molestor never killed anyone and some peple labeled child molestor had sex with underaged yet consenting teens. I don't agree with it either but I wouldn't celebrate the death of someone who wasn't a murderer.

As wretched as it seems, there are those who see/saw late term abortions are homicide clean and clear because of the developmental stage of the fetus at the time of death. The fetus's life was ended, not by simply removing it from the woman's body, but by killing it before it was fully delivered. The mother has a right to do this, I wholeheartedly agree but pro-lifers question is her right more about ending the life of the unborn child and less about her body since the death occurs while the fetus is almost completely expelled from her body and literally a matter of inches is life or death. TO my understanding at the latest stages of pregnancy it is FAR healthier to abort a *whole* fetus than it is to partially dialate the cervix and tear the fetus apart limb by limb. Removal of the fetus as a whole and then killing it ensures that there are no fetal parts remaining in the womb that could cause septice.

From that perspective it is not extreme to view it as killing a baby but I still think it is extreme to consider it homicide because homicide is the unlawful killing of another. This is where things get murky, muddy and nasty. Dr. Tiller's death was not comprehendable in the sense that it could ever be rationalized. His murderer deserves the death penalty like all other murderers.

I can honestly say the only case in which I'm glad to get word of someone's death or suffering is when it happens to a child molester, rapist or domestic abuser. I don't subscribe to the idea that the death of someone with unsavory ideals is a good thing. I've seen some prochoicers do it myself but not nearly at the level I've witnessed prolifers celebrating the assassination of Dr. Tiller. Some of them are starting new conversations about the doctor that's picking up where Tiller left off and they're already urging killers on their side to make short work of him, too. Check out ProlifeAmerica or Topix if you don't believe me.

You're only proving my point, Neutral. You're behaving as a terrorism apologist, trying to excuse the actions of the assassin and trivialize the killing of the doctor. You protested so vehemently when I made the observation that most prolifers are either openly gleeful or making excuses and yet you're doing it right now.

"Oh, killing him was wrong, BUT..."

No. There are NO BUTS! I'm sick of hearing you prolifers dehumanize that man. I could go out and start slaughtering rapists on the grounds that hey, who would miss such horrible people? Maybe I should put a bullet between the eyes of the next wifebeater I see, since there will always be people out there willing to support vigilante justice.

Either the death of this man was an inexcusable tragedy or it wasn't. Stop beating around the bush and attempting to distract from the issue or make Dr. Tiller seem less human. If you're relieved that he's gone, at least show some backbone and be honest about it instead of denying the number of people on your side that are relieved or outright ecstatic over the assassination of this man.

I never said I condone killing of any kind. The guy who killed him is a murderer who deserves life in prison. I'm just still wondering why you think we should see Tiller as a hero like you do and mourn his death and ignore the fact he killed unborn babies.

You said: "I can honeslty say the only case in which I'm glad to get word of someone's death or suffering is when it happens to a child molestor, rapist or domestic abuser." Why is it okay for YOU to be happy about ANYONE'S death and not pro-lifers? OF COURSE there are people out there who aren't sad to see Tiller die. Because they see HIM as a KILLER! Not a hero like you do. He didn't just remove balls of cells from women! He ended human life. This does not mean the pro-life community all planned to kill him or even thought of it. Only extremists think this way.

I worked for Dr. Tiller. This brave man always knew this was a strong possibility. Yet he continued on becuase becuase he beleved in women and their ability to decide what is best for them their families and their fetus. He did not let the bombing the attempted homicide or the constant vandalism and harassment stop him from doing what he felt with alllhis heart and soul was the right thing.

Dr. Tiller not only gave of himself at his clinic he voluntered his services for women who were attempting to withdraw from substance abuse. He paid for many women to complete school who otherwise would not have got a chance. He was always there for a friend.

Dr. Tiller was a real man who loved his family and braged about his grandchildren. He was devote in his belief in his god and human ability to overcome its obstacles. He was good to his staff and fierce in his protection of his patients.

Dr. Tillers to favorite mottos were TRUST WOMEN and ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING. He knew his patients knew what was best for them and their families and he did not let the thugs prevent him from assisting them.

I worked nights and spent many just talking with him. He was a good man. He is missed but will never be forgotten. His death removed him from us but his example and courage will carry on in each and every one of us who believe women must have the absolute right to their physical bodies and that a womens' unquestioned personhood trumps all else.
