Q: Late pubertic signs

I'm 16 years old and nervous about my development progress. I show some signs of puberty, the main one being a large penis, at just over 8" long when erect. However, I have little armpit hair, little facial hair, small testicles, a voice that is not very deep at all, and my pubic hair only grows in a small area. Is it possible that I am just going to be a late bloomer? Or is there another probable cause?

At 16 years of age you sound like you have not completed you sexual development. This indeed is not abnormal at your age. You did not mention your height or weight. The good news is you probably have more potential for growth in height than your more developed friends. You may indeed be a late bloomer as you suspect. Check with your parents and other family members, this can run in families. This again is not necessarily abnormal. To be sure, you should have a complete check-up with your doctor. If he feels it necessary, he will order appropriate X-rays or lab data. At this visit you should discuss any other issues you may have.
