You would like to know why your period is late although you had a negative pregnancy

Certain women may experience a delay of their period due to an anovulatory cycle. In an anovulatory cycle there is no ovulation and ovum is not released from the ovaries. This is normal if it happens rarely. However, an anovulatory cycle may be the reason why certain couples can’t conceive a baby although they are trying a lot.

You may see a gynecologist if there is more than 45 days since you got the last period. You may consider taking hormonal substitute medications if you are diagnosed with a hormonal unbalance.

Please keep in mind that I am trying to provide you with medical information here. I am not able to give you medical advice online. Please contact your doctor or a qualified healthcare provider such as a gynecologist for further advice, diagnosis and treatment option.
