late period with negative hpt Posted: 04-13-08 22:59pm
Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help me.
My period is three weeks late, I have done
a preg test, and that's negative. I have
had all the signs for getting my period,
cramps, bloating, lower back pain, sore
boobs, but they just haven't come yet. I
am a bit nervous and I am not sure what is
wrong, this is the first time this has
happened, usually they are like clock
work. I am not overly stressed, so I am
not sure what it could be.
Thanks for your help.

I have had this happen to me. Sometimes
you don't know why it happens. Try to
relax and not dwell on it. Hormones can
flux for a variety of reasons. If you do
not get your period in a week or so, call
and get in to your doctor. They can check
hormone levels, thyroid, pregnancy... the
works. I am sorry this is not more
helpful.

you can retest in another week or so.
Sometimes it takes time for your HCG
levels to be high enough for the test to
read. I tested neg when I was pregnant.
But if that still comes out negative then
you probably arent pregnant and should see
a doctor.
