I am 10 days late for my period. I am having unusual bloating/cramping. 6 days after my scheduled period I took a pregnancy test, it was negative. A couple days later I took another, still negative. It is VERY unusual that I am late, and the rare times that I am its normally only by a few days. The only other symptom that I can relate to pregnancy is fatigue. Pregnancy tests are normally pretty accurate, but is there a chance I could still be pregnant??

Am I Pregnant Answer A10135
Hi,

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am glad to help you out. Normally, the UPT is a very sensitive test and comes out as positive around a week to ten days after the missed period. However, a much more sensitive test is the serum Beta HCG pregnancy test. It is called the Aimstrip pregnancy test and can detect the HCG in a much lower concentration.

If this is also negative, then other causes of missed periods should be looked into like stress and anxiety, malnutrition, depression, overexercising, smoking, sudden weight loss or gain (obesity), thyroid disorders and hormonal imbalance due to polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS). I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
