Q: Late period while on Mini-Pill ?

I started taking the mini-pill 2 months ago, and within a week of starting them- I got my first period since having my daughter (10 months ago). I figured my period had finally returned, and calculated when I should get the next period, and now I'm 5 days late?
Should I be getting another period, or did I only have a period because I started the pill? I'm really confused.
