Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth's Ask a Doctor forum.

Since your periods are irregular it is difficult to say whether you are pregnant or not. Stress can also cause nausea and delayed periods. Delayed periods, bleeding after sex, nausea, sore breasts all do point towards pregnancy. The only way to know is to take a pregnancy test. Wait for the maximum number of days after which your periods have come and then take a pregnancy test.

Bleeding after sex can happen in pregnancy. However it can happen in many other conditions such as STDs like Chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trichomoniasis, cervical polyps, yeast infections, endometriosis, cervical dysplasia which is a precancerous condition, uterine polyps, uterine fibroids and cervicitis.

Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please discuss these possibilities with your gynecologist once. Hope this helps. Take care!
