I'm currently on my fifth day on inactive pills on Necon 5./35 and have not yet gotten my period. I usually get it on the third inactive pill day. I have never missed a pill in the 5 months I've been taking, and I take it at the same time everyday, although this month I did take it at slightly irregular times (between 11:45 am - 1:30 pm) but never at a bigger time difference than that.
One day last week I think one of the pills I took very slightly dissolved on my tongue because I didn't swallow it fast enough. I then washed it down with a lot of water to make sure I would get all of the dosage. Could this have changed the effectiveness of the pill?
I generally have VERY light periods on Necon .5/35 -- lighter than I ever had before the pill. Last month's period was light, but I don't think it was implantation bleeding because it lasted for 2 1/2 days.
One more thing- for the past 3 weeks I've been living in a dorm but the rest of the year I've been in an apartment. Could I be syncing up with other girls and that's why I haven't gotten my period?
Should I be worried? Do women ever miss their period on the pill who aren't pregnant?
